I live around New Madrid, MO and like to catch big catfish. Every time on the water is a thrill. The water, the current, the boat, the fish… yes, even the barges, all add to the excitement of the mighty mississippi river. These pages are devoted to my fishing adventures. Thanks for coming by!

Shane, My name is John Moore and I live across the river in Ridgely. I’ve been catfishing on the Mississippi since I was a kid,(40 years ago. I’ve got a couple of buddies (Tommy Hodge & Jackie Howell) that fish with me. It has been slow fishing with the river up and down. We finally caught a few fish last saturday, a 16lb. and 3 8 or 10lbs ders. We had trouble finding shad. Usually fish deep water west of Ridgely from Tiptonville south to Caruthersville.
